About us

A local driving school, small on purpose.

Before she became an instructor, Bhumi drove for Uber with a five-star rating. Her passengers often told her how smooth, calm and safe her driving felt, and many said she should teach. When the COVID-19 lockdowns took away her income almost overnight, she used it as a chance to start again.

She completed her Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics, bought a new hybrid Toyota Corolla and opened 2EZ Driving Education in October 2021, as the lockdowns lifted. By December 2021 the school was fully booked.

We have chosen to stay a small business, with every lesson taught by the owners, so that we can get to know every learner personally. Expansion could earn us more, but we value real relationships with our customers more than profit.

Many learners choose a 2-hour mock driving test before their real test. You experience realistic test conditions, learn what to expect on the day, and find any areas that need work while there is still time to fix them.

Learners who perform well in their mock test go on to pass their driving test. If the mock test shows areas to improve, that is still a good result, because it gives us time to work on them before your real test.

    Pass the DKT, then collect your learner licence from Service NSW.

    If you are under 25, complete 120 logbook hours, including 20 hours at night, with family or friends.

What car will I learn in?

A dual-control automatic hybrid Toyota with a 5-star ANCAP safety rating. The instructor has their own brake, so you can learn safely in real traffic from your very first lesson.

Who will teach me?

Every lesson is taught by the owners. For mock tests, one of us teaches while the other acts as the examiner, so you get two experienced views of your driving.

How many lessons will I need?

It depends on your experience. We will tell you honestly how many lessons you need, no more and no fewer. We do not let a learner sit the test before they are ready.

Do lessons count towards my logbook?

Yes. If you are under 25, each hour with a licensed driving instructor is recorded as three hours in your NSW logbook, up to 10 instructor hours. That means 10 hours of lessons can add 30 hours to your logbook.

Do you charge more on weekends or public holidays?

No. We teach seven days a week, including early mornings, and the price is the same on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

How do I pay?

You can pay online or in the car by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Apple Pay. Lessons are paid one day in advance. Test day lessons and test car hire are paid three days before your test. Packages are paid in full upfront, are valid for three months from your first lesson, and are non-transferable and non-refundable.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours, on the same day or without notice are charged in full and are non-refundable. Lessons run to the booked times, so please be on time at the pick-up point. If you have an emergency or are unwell, please contact us at least one day ahead.

What do I need to bring?

Your valid NSW learner licence, or a recognised provisional, full or overseas licence. You must show it to your instructor before your first lesson begins.

What do I need to do before test day?

Book your practical driving test with Service NSW and send the test details to us at least three days before the test. Bring your licence and proof of identity on the day. If the test cannot go ahead because of missing documents, the test day fees are non-refundable.

Can you help me convert an overseas licence?

Yes. Many of our learners drove overseas before. We teach NSW road rules, local driving culture and what examiners look for, and we can teach in more than one language.

Terms and conditions

Clear and fair terms, so you know what to expect.

We send these terms to every learner before the first lesson.

General

To take driving lessons, you must:

  • Hold a valid NSW Learner Driver's Licence, or
  • Have a driving licence recognised in NSW, such as a provisional or full licence or an appropriate foreign licence.
  • Provide your instructor with proof of your valid driving licence before your first driving lesson begins. If you do not provide this proof, the instructor can refuse to conduct the lesson and may still charge you.

Driving lessons and packages

  • The package price must be paid in full upfront.
  • Packages are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Packages are valid for three months from the date of the first lesson.
  • Driving lessons start and finish at the agreed times. We cannot extend the lesson if you are running late, so please arrive on time at the pick-up point.

Driving test (DT) booking

  • The fees for hiring a car for the driving test must be paid at least three days in advance.
  • Please give your driving test booking details to your instructor at least three days before your test.
  • Make sure you book the Practical Car Driving Test (DT). Please double-check your booking. Some people have accidentally booked the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) or the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) instead. It is the learner's responsibility to confirm that the correct test is booked.
  • If your test is cancelled because of a lack of identity proof, missing documents or any other reason for which you are responsible, we cannot refund the booking fees. Before your test, please visit Service NSW to confirm that all your documents are in order.

Cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change. To help us manage our schedule and make room for other students, please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your driving lesson.

Same-day cancellations. If a lesson is cancelled on the same day, or at the last minute without notice, the full amount for the lesson will be charged. This is because it is difficult to fill the time slot at short notice.

Why this policy exists. We aim to give everyone a positive learning experience. Advance notice helps us keep a smooth schedule and gives other students the chance to book a lesson.

Unexpected situations. We understand that emergencies and health issues can happen. If you expect that you cannot attend because of unforeseen circumstances, please contact us at least one day in advance.
